Kwekwe United denies reporting Zw Zim Sport Connect channel for blocking, despite evidence suggesting the Midlands outfit was responsible. The channel had reported on players threatening to boycott fixtures, which ultimately occurred.
In a press conference held yesterday, Kwekwe United’s president, Phil Makekera, and chairman stated that the club is open to potential investors.
They emphasized that if anyone is interested in acquiring the team, the door is open for discussions, but any decision would depend on the individual’s intentions and how they plan to benefit the Kwekwe community, as the team belongs to the locals.The club also expressed openness to sponsorship and partnerships.
Regarding financial matters, Makekera and the chairman acknowledged that the team owes players March salaries and winning bonuses.and stated that their monthly salaries wage bill is $20,000
