The Victoria Falls Panthers are heading to the tournament league after defeating Victoria Falls Suns in the semi-finals. It’s been a long and challenging season, but ultimately, an amazing one. Despite having only four teams in our league, we managed to make it successful. The teams traveled from Hwange, Lupane, and Victoria Falls, making it a remarkable achievement.

“I’m very excited and happy for my team,” said Brighton John Musaidzi, coach of the Victoria Falls Panthers. “We were up against a strong team in the semi-finals, and it was a tough competition. Both teams were looking forward to taking the league title and representing the province at the national league, which starts in May.

“This will be the Victoria Falls Panthers’ first time participating in the national league, and they’re eager to make their mark. The team also has a few tournaments lined up in March, including the Victoria Falls Invitational, which attracts around 20 teams from across the country.

We want to expand the league,” added Coach Musaidzi. “We only had four teams this season, and we’re looking to increase that number in the future.

“Walter Masunda, captain of Victoria Falls Suns, congratulated the Panthers on their win. “We played a tough and fair game, but unfortunately, we lost. We’re looking forward to nurturing more youngsters to join our team. Many youths in Victoria Falls are getting involved in drug abuse, and we’re trying to keep them off the streets and occupied through sports.
