
Courage Denias’ eyes sparkled as he reflected on his remarkable football journey. From humble beginnings to triumphant victories, his story is a testament to hard work, dedication, and a passion for the beautiful game.
It all began in 2004 when Courage joined Triangle United as a young player. Though his initial stint was brief, lasting only six months, it marked the starting point of an incredible adventure. Friday Phiri, then coach of Monomotapa FC, recognized Courage’s potential and immediately signed him. This move proved pivotal, as Courage played a crucial role in Monomotapa’s promotion to the Premier Soccer League (PSL) in 2004.
The following year, Courage returned to Triangle United, eager to help the team secure promotion. Although they fell short of their goal, Courage’s determination and talent caught the attention of Calisto Pasuwa, coach of Chitungwiza United. The team later transformed into Eagles Football Club and achieved promotion to the PSL in 2009.Courage’s success continued as he joined Caps United in 2010. Playing alongside football legends like Method Mwanjali, Gilbert Mapemba, and Nyasha Mushekwi, Courage experienced the thrill of competing in the Confederation Cup. Although their journey was cut short by Alhilal of Sudan, Courage’s reputation as a skilled player continued to grow.
In 2011, Courage returned to Triangle United, where he contributed to the team’s promotion to the PSL under the guidance of coach Gishon Ntini. Over the next seven years, Courage played a vital role in Triangle’s triumphs, including winning the NetOne Cup and Chibuku Cup.Fans adored Courage, affectionately calling him “Bhiza Remari” for his ability to make a difference on the field.
As he hung up his boots in 2018, Courage transitioned into coaching, joining Triangle United’s technical setup led by Taurayi Mangwiro.As a coach, Courage worked alongside esteemed coaches like Thomas Ruzive, gaining invaluable experience. In 2024, he took on the role of development coach, nurturing young talent and helping them compete for first-team positions.
However, Triangle United has decided against renewing his contract for the 2025 season.Courage expressed his gratitude for the knowledge and experience gained during his time with the team. “I just want to thank everyone that I worked with during my stay at Triangle,” he said. “I am what I am because of Triangle, the coaches, technical staff, and players I worked with. I am confident that the lessons I learned will propel me toward future success
