On Saturday 23 October Mzilikazi FC gave away food hampers to their 20 vaccinated players at Mzilikazi youth center.
Speaking to Sportsgrind, club administrator Mayfield Daka said this was a way to motivate and encourage players to get vaccinated, hence they started with the vaccinated players. In spite that lower-division leagues haven’t been given a green light to start playing, Daka says they want to be ready when that time comes to get the ball rolling without having to deal with issues like vaccination of players. Mr Daka said that their Diaspora Board of directors comprising Nhlanhla Sibanda and Emmanuel Pablo Khumalo are working tirelessly to get more stakeholders involved in this worth Cause..as well as Local Thuli’s veggies and Spikiri kitchen, it also played a huge part in the hamper donation given to the players.
The ZIFA Southern region division 2 outfit said !!! In a letter written by their Chief Scout and Acting Manager Lindani Limpaar Maradona…..thanking the Sponsors and individuals that graced the small event with their presence, highlighted that it was also a way of keeping the spirit of the late co-Director Richard Choruma alive as it was something that he always did for the boys, & had a great vision for the team and unwavering love for the boys .
